Meet Our Team

We are queer therapists offering therapy for queer people.

For queer people by queer people.

Alex Thibodeau

Student Therapist

He/They

Strength-Based | inclusive and Affirming | Person-Centred | LGBTQ+

I am an adventurer, overthinker, artist, activist, loving partner, proud cat parent to two, and a student therapist!

As a queer, neurodivergent person, I understand the critical value in finding and creating affirmative and supportive spaces. My approach fuses person-centred therapy within an eclectic holistic approach that can be tailored to your personal background, concerns, and needs. Regardless of where you are in your journey, my goal is to meet you where you are and offer support through a trauma-informed lens.

I can provide a space that fosters your ability to authentically explore yourself without judgment. Using inclusive and trauma-informed practices, we can explore identity, challenges, communication, anxiety, life transitions, or any other presenting concerns that you may have.

I want to help you build healthy coping mechanisms, strengthen your resilience, and build the self-esteem and positive regard you deserve to have for yourself.

Goal: My goal is to provide inclusive and compassionate therapy that is mindful of cultural humility and intersectionality.

Who I help?

As a student therapist, I am excited to provide services to a wide variety of backgrounds and life experiences. Each person is a unique individual, and I want you to feel seen, heard, and valued as such. I have experience in providing care for everyday challenges and life stressors, as well as more complex presentation of psychological dysfunction. Whether it be changes in life, exploration of identity, stress, or any other concern, our sessions will be a safe space to explore anything without fear of judgment.

As a queer person, I understand the value of having an individual who can provide an inclusive space to explore authentically and without judgment.  I have a specialty in working with LGBTQ+ individuals, but I have experience in, and am open to, working with many other communities.
