Wrapping up 2025 and Looking forward to 2026
Happy new year and happy holidays! (is it too late to say that?)
2025 was an absolute whirlwind! It feels like I blinked and 2025 was over. It feels like I’m going to blink and January will be over, so before it ends… Here’s the QTC 2025 wrapped:
August: Opened QTC and started seeing clients
September: Hired on three Student Therapists, Alex T, Leah and Erin, all with lived experience in queer identity
September to December: Our Student Therapists provided 87 free therapy sessions through our low-cost therapy program
December: Hired on two Clinical Associates, Diem and Dunja, both Registered Psychotherapists (Qualifying), both all with lived experience in queer identity
November: I guested on the Good Thinking podcast with Charlotte Pidgeon Psychotherapy
September to December: Collaborated on events with Toronto Lesbian Book Club, QueerMeets, Sapphics Raise the Bar, Trans Masc Lifting Crew Toronto, Queers in the 6ix
And we have *so much* planned for 2026:
Our Student Therapists, Alex, Leah and Erin are offering three free therapy sessions
One of our Clinical Associates, Dunja, is offering a free first session and both of our Associates, Diem and Dunja, have several sliding scale spots open
We’re all offering free 15-minute consults to get to know us better and determine fit before we begin our work together
We’re collaborating with Out on the Shelf, Queer Toronto Literary Magazine, Queer Boxing Club and many more
Group Therapy! We heard you, healing in community is incredibly important to you and it’s important to us too! So group therapy starts in February! Stay tuned to our Instagram because that’s where I’ll be posting topics, dates and times. (Hint: Our biggest priorities are trauma and gender diverse identity).
I hope 2026 brings you so much light, warmth, love and happiness. We're always cheering you on here at QTC, so please don't hesitate to reach out to us if there's any way we can support you! As well, if you have any feedback for us that you'd like to share, please send email us at hello@queertherapycollective.ca or let your QTC therapist know. Three of our main values are accountability, collaboration and community so your voice matters to us!
Warmly,
Alex Zebeljan
